Seeking the parents of Doracy Baily, born on July 28, 1789, probably in Sussex Co., Delaware, who died attempting to give birth to her ninth child on April 28, 1825, and is buried with her husband in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Perry Township, Pickaway Co., Ohio.
Her parents were probably George and Nancy Baily, who moved to Pickaway Co. from Delaware about 1807. I believe that she was their daughter who was mistakenly identified as "Elizabeth" in a descendent's subsequently-written family-bible record.
About 1808 Doracy married Isaac Jones (1783-1849) in Pickaway Co. They had eight surviving children: Anna B. (born 1809 who married Henry "Harry" Graham), Thomas F. (born 1811 who married Lydia Bohrer), James (born 1813 who married Sarah White), William B. (born 1815 who married a Martha Jane), Isaac Jr. (born 1817 who married Louisa Jane Upperman and Unity Graham, sister of Harry), Purnell (1819-1839), Mary D. (born 1821 who married John W. Smith), and Sarah Elizabeth B. (born 1823 who married James Graham, brother of Harry and Unity).
