Hi there,
I am also looking for BAINES in Lancashire.
I believe my ggGrandparents were James TRAVIS and Anne (nee BAINES.) They married in Kirkby Lonsdale, Westmoreland in 1826. Daughter Elizabeth born 1827. James Travis, Peter Baines Travis and my gtGrandfather Thomas Gorst Travis came to NZ c 1860. On all their death certs. it says their parents were James Travis occ. joiner/cabinet maker and Anne nee Baines and that they came from Lancashire.

Any help would be appreciated.
