Hi Jenis, thanks for your e-mail re Baines family. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a connection as my family were all from the Manchester/Salford area but I will keep the information I have by chance I come across a connection. My ggggrandfather was James Baines born about 1790 (but do not know where as dead on the 1841 census so no way of knowing his birthplace, his wife Margaret was born in Dublin. Their children were William b:1812, Mary Ann, Margaret, Anastasia, Winifred, Veronica and James b: 1830 my gggrandfather. I do not have the other childrens years of birth at hand but they fall between 1812 and 1830. Just thought I would give you this info in case you eventually find a link. Good hunting.
