Yes, the information on that website is very helpful. I wish I knew the relationship between Henry Sr. and Redmond. Time may give us some answers. His son Henry Jr. may be the grandfather of my Belle Newman, who was born in Mississippi, but grew up in Travis or Williamson County Texas. Probably Travis. I've found a small bit of information on some of Henry's children, but one daughter, Nancy E., disappeared after the 1860 census. She may have been my missing link.

As for the other surnames that I'm researching, I'll likely not find any of them in Alabama except possibly a Walker. There were a lot of Newman's in both states, but without knowing the name of Belle's parents, I don't know where to look for them. Actually, I've searched for a long time only to come up empty handed.

I'll continue to search both possible ancestors and descendants of Belle. Will post anything worthwhile that I may find that has to do with the Baines family.
