Hezekiah had a brother Thomas, all I have on hand about him is that he was born in Deer Creek, Baltimore, Maryland. Could he be the one you are looking for? Hezekiah also had a 1/2 Uncle Thomas born in 1717, son of Hezekiah Balch and Dorthy?. Then of course there is the first Thomas in this country, b. circa 1660 m. Agnes Somerville. As I recall you were looking for an Amos Balch too. Try looking at James Balch and Ann Goodwin, they had a son, Amos, I believe he ended up in IL, was a lawyer, there is a lot of info on him floating around on google. I think he married someone named Ann Patton. As for Rachel, I have come across her name with Houston, but never could connect it up to our line. Thought there might be a connection because we have John Houston Balch. Good luck, hope this gives you some clues!!
