I dont know if we are talking about the the same Bankston but my grandfather was Rev. Joe Bankston. He originated from here in Ga. But moved to Ohio Many many years ago. I am trying to find any Bankston. African American or Caucasian who has any knowledge or where I can find our African name. I know the Bankstons were slave owners and I guess that's where I get my namesake. I am trying to figure out the tribe that I come from in Africa. Any help is greatly appreciated.
