Is anyone researching these Civil War soldiers from Walnut, Bureau County, Illinois?? AUSTIN T. BARD served as a private in Co. F, 64th and/or 146th Illinois Infantry. He was born November 24, 1846 in China, Lee County, Illinois. He married Clarrisa Overhold. He was a farmer in Walnut, then a truck farmer at Blue Island, a factory worker in Chicago where he had an accident which caused the lost of the use of one hand. He died July 3, 1917 in Mount Greenwood, Illinois. EZEKIEL SOLOMON BARD served as a private in the Army, Co. B, 64th Illinois Infantry. He died January 18, 1872. Merritt W. Sr. (8-20-1809 - 11-23-1888); Lucinda (1813-1839); Duncan N. (1833-1912); Theressa S. (1840-1919) are nearby. ISAAC FRANK BARD served as a recruit in Co. B, 64th Illinois Infantry and private in Co. D, 64th Illinois Voluntary Infantry. He was killed in battle at Cornith on July 29, 1862 and is buried in plot B 3469 in the Corinth National Cemetery. served as a private in Co.
