I would guess that Rebecca is William & Reese's mother, but no proof. No idea where Ruth is in 1870, unless she moved out to Iowa with Esau's brother.
Still no proven ties between Ruth and Reese. Ruth & esau's son Titus Harris married Melissa Rebecca Palmer. have you run across her?
