Louis j. Bartels was born in 1863 in Germany and was married to Maria L. Merlau, she was born in NY in 1864, they moved to Ellendale, ND. and had Ella, Emma, Mary, Frank L., Rosa L., George and Otto, Sadie, Louis Jr., and one other child. Otto was my grandfather. Louis's father was Michael Bartels and he was married to Dorathea Glawe (Dora) and they lived in Jackson, MN.
The Mary your searching for is Mary Carolyn Lillian Bartels and she married Frederick William Mallon.
Mary was born Oct.25,1891 and died Aug.4,1935 and Frederick was born May 1,1867 from Hampton Iowa and died in Ellendale,ND in March 26, 1954. They had 8 children.
