Joseph Baugh and Josiah Baugh Connection, Orange County NC

I am a Moreland researcher and I am trying to find out what the connection to the Baugh family was.

In 1779, Thomas Moreland and Josiah H. Baugh's names were on a petition to the General Assembly in NC.

In 1793, Thomas Moreland of Guilford Co wrote in his will: I Give to Joseph Baugh all the part of my land the South side of the Creek on the East side of the Branch down the said branch as it meanders to the Reaves line. This in spite of having sons he could have left this property to.

In 1797, Thomas Moreland's son Francis who lived in Orange co NC, was the bondsman for Josiah H Baugh and Sarah Daniel on Feb 27, 1997.

In 1799, Francis Moreland was the bondsman for Nathan Forrest and Nancy Baugh.

Thomas Moreland and his children were from Dinwiddie Co VA before moving to NC.

If anyone has any information, could you email me at: clayton2design@verizon.net
