Does anyone have the line of General William H H Beadle back to Samuel Beadle of Salem?
Who's Who in South Dakota (1913) contains the following text: "... of ancestry that had landed very early at Salem, Massachusetts, in colonial days, and passed in successive generations through Connecticut, Pennsylvania and the Shenandoah valley in Virignia, to Kentucky."
William's father was James Ward Beadle, born in Kentucky. I believe James' father was born in Virginia but I have not been able to find the connection in the Walter Beadle's book on the family of Samuel Beadle.
