Ivan,

sorry to say there is no Beadling family Crest. The name Beadling, is a very unusual one and was originally confined to a very small area of England, in County Durham and Northumberland.

The name is thought to be a corruption of the name Beadland.

English surnames are loosely based on one of four things,
1) Place names ( e.g. London, Durham etyc 2) Father's Christian names ( Williamson, Johnson, Erickson etc. 3) Occupations ( Smith, Cook, Clerk etc 4) Nicknames ( Short, Long etc)

Beadland is a place name and is thought to have originated in the area around Jarrow, where The Venerable Bede lived and worked as a monk. This is the theory anyhow, but it is backed up by the fact that the name is originally concentrated around the Jarrow area and Holy Island, in the Farne Islands, both famed as being sites connected with St Bede.

I have a web site with my own family tree, which is festooned with Beadlings. Have a look at it if you like.

You do not need a password to see the Beadling line. It is only password protected for living relatives.
