Sarah B. Beall was the daughter of William & Clarissa Matthews Butts. William and Clary lived in Warren Co GA.
and one of their sons was the Mayor of Atlanta, Ga. in the early years. After the death of William, Clarissa married
John Gibson Sr., Warren Co GA. Susan T. Butts and Sarah B. Butts Beall were young when John and Clary married. They all moved to Campbell Co. GA. where John Gibson Sr. passed away in 1829. Susan T. Butts married Martin Kolb, they are both buried in Aderhold-Beall Cemetery, near Sarah B. Butts Beall. I believe you shared with me in the past that Clarissa was buried near her two daughters in Aderhold-Beall Cemetery. John Gibson Sr. is my husbands 4th great grandfather. John Gibson Sr. and Clary owned land near that area and also John Gibson Sr. was a blacksmith. In his will there was a lot of metal & blacksmith tools sold.
John Gibson Sr. and Clary Butts married in 1813 Warren Co. GA. and were married about 16 years before his death.

Charles I know you saw the two large rock pile graves that are near to where Susan and Sarah are buried. We believe that may be where John and Clarissa are buried. The DAR states that John Gibson Sr. Revolutionary Solider is buried about 16 miles west of Atlanta, and your information that Clarissa is buried near her two daughters, leads us to believe it is possible that is where they both are buried. Any other information would be so appreciated.

Writers, Holcombe & White wrote that our John Gibson Sr. was the son of Gideon Gibson of SC. DNA has proven this to not be true. My husband is from a direct line to John Gibson Sr. and his DNA does not match those who have a direct line to Gideon Gibson SC.

Good Lord Willing,
We hope to be able to travel back to Georgia and to visit the Aderhold Cemetery again. I have tried every sourse and person I can contact to have that cemetery declared an historical cemetery, and that it would be taken care of. But have not been able to get anyone to take this important historical cemetery on.

We cherish the pictures of Sarah B. Butts Bealls grave site, and remember the great price that her husband paid for the cause of Texas. God Bless All of You.
