But I believe that the Hirman in New port could be David's brother so I live 40 miles from Newbern and have planned to go to the couthouse on Tue of next week. Newbern is the county seat so I am hoping to find something. thanks for your post and I will follow up on the names you gave which could be the father of David & Hyram.
