My g-g-grandfather was John Bellew. I have a copy of his discharge papers from the Civil War. He was born in Knox Cty. KY. Was in the 14th Reg. of the Indiana foot Volunteers. Discharged in Indianapolis 06/16/1864. I have an oath of identity that was certified in Howard Cty. Ind. 06/13/1866. He was 19 when discharged in 1864. He ended up in east Tennessee, married to a woman whose surname was Snoderly. Any info please forward. Thank you.
