I am not familiar with a Lewis Franklin born in 1831.

I am familiar with the Lewis Franklin Benge who was a son of David (King David) Benge. He was born on July 8, 1805, and married on August 17, 1831, to Margarette Cornett, daughter of Robin Cornett and Charlotte Callahan.

There could have been another Lewis Franklin in Madison County, Ricmond area as well as in Rockastle County.
