If it was the same Mary Ann Watson who married William Brampton, then she didn't seem to be with him for long because William Beniston and Mary Ann had their first (known) child, Thirza Mary Beniston in 1853. Three more children followed before their parents actually married in 1864.
William Beniston is also on the 1861 census with his "wife" Mary Ann, but their daughter Thirza Mary is shown as age 17 instead of 7. Her sister Harriett Watson is also with them, and a niece, Mary Ann Watson age 2 months.
I don't know what happened to William Brampton, but there is a William Brampton on the 1861 census age 35 from Hinkley, Leic. and with a boarder Elizabeth Morley and her children. Wonder if this is our Mary Ann's first husband?
