This Bianco family is of Sephardic Jewish heritage with the status of Cohen linneage and everyone I have talked to has confirmed this. There are two stories regarding our roots:
(First story) The family orginated in Byalistock (Lithuian border), then moved to Austria, then to Damascus Syria then to Italy or Egypt then to different parts of the world: USA, Canada, Israel, Australia, Etc.
(Second story) Some alternatively say the family orginated in Portugal and left around 1492 and may have been related???? to Andres Bianco who was a famous cartographer. They were supposed to have established the Sephardic Jewish Vienna Austrian family there but left during the Pogroms (There is supposed to be a Sephardic Rabbi in the line from Vienna Austria).
During the moves, the family name has changed from Weiss or Vice or Wetz or ??? to the Arabic word for white (i don't know what that is but possibly Bader???), but is now Bianco. The reasons for the changes varied escaping persucution for being Jewish to getting out of the Ottoman / Turkish Empire to avoid military conscription for the children (the period of the Ottoman empire was: 1300-1918, but I don't know the family line or time frame in relation to this).
The farthest I have back is to Joseph (Vice, Weiss, Wetz) who had Solomon Bianco (my great grandfather) that married Rachel Kraim.
Solomon's siblings were: Isaac, Aldophe (Wolf), Moses, Abraham, and Rudolf.
Solomon Bianco and Rachel Kraim had: Issac, Loulie, Maurice, Victor, Joseph, Max, Edward, Clementine (Marie), and Fortunee
Lulie Bianco married Raphael Saadia (La Caire Egypt ???).
They had Ester, Edward, Solomon, Rose, Albert, Regine, Jacques, and Elie (for some of the family tree under Louli Bianco, goto http://www.farhi.org and do a search for Bianco.
Adolphe and Malvine had Cecile, Max, Victor, Edward, Fortunee, and Morris or Moche? (my grandfather).
Allen Bianco married Sarah Sadlanbaum and had two kids (Danny and Nathan) then divorced.
Allen then married my mother Deborah Kaufman (See Scattered Seeds family history from Geanologist George Sackheim to learn about lineage from 1600s of Sholem who had the GREAT RABBI Israel of Rozhna who was a marter on the second day of Yom Kippur in the 1600s--ask any Orthodox Rabbi and they can tell you all about him. This is the Zak or Zachheim family). I guess from Deborha's side, I am related to someone in the Kennesset, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, the Satmar Rebbe, Etc.
Allen and Deborha had me (Michael Bianco).
By the way, some of the relatives were in the tobacco industry also I guess.
I know we have Bianco and perhaps White relatives in Manchester England area also who were related to the textile or cotton industry.
There is rumored to have been a Uncle Ronnie who flew British Spitfires in WWII for the RAF and was shot down.
I am also looking for a Cynthia White who my be in Oxford England. She posted on http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/5855/bassa13.htm she left a posting of this: Cynthia White from Oxford recently discovered her Jewish origins and Polish-Sephardic ancestry. Former family name in Egypt was Bianco. She's asked us to trace her relations: Adda (cotton trade, Cairo) and Morpurgo. I have not been able to contact her, but I bet we are related!
