Lucinda Jane Bird of Johnson County Illinois

Lucinda Jane Bird, born abt. 1833 in Kentucky, married 4 or 5 times, or so it appears. She married first to Robert Moler (or Moulder/Mulder/Molen), second to Rix Bradshaw, third to William R. Dunn, fourth to Simon Aden (of German descent), and fifth to J.E. Smith. Lucinda is a mystery.

Lucinda and her third husband, William R. Dunn (b. 1834 TN)were married in Johnson County, Illinois in 1865. William R. Dunn first married Susan Moncrief and second to Lucinda Jane.

The children of John Bradshaw were living with Lucinda and William Dunn in 1880. John Bradshaw died before 1880 and his three children were orphaned. Lucinda's first husband Rix Bradshaw, brother to John Bradshaw, died in the Civil War.

The children of John Bradshaw were Wesley (b. 1867), Henry (b. 1869) and George F. Bradshaw (b. 1872). Henry and George are shown living with William R. Dunn and Lucinda Jane in the 1880 census in Cache, Johnson, Illinois. Also, in the 1880 census, is George W. Bird,(b. 1874 IL) listed as half brother to William Dunn. I think George W. Bird was probably half brother to Lucinda instead. Lucinda Jane Bird's parents are, so far, a mystery to me.

Lucinda may have had only one son by Robert H. Moler. That son's name was William Moler. I don't find him in subsequent census reports. Lucinda Jane Bird Dunn may also be mother of Lucy H. Dunn, born 1874 in Johnson County, Illinois.

Does anyone know what happened to the orphaned children of John Bradshaw or have any information about Lucinda Jane Bird's parents? I could be wrong about Lucinda's maiden name.
