Hi Polly,
My records don't go back far enough to trace my direct line to South Carolina. I only have oral history stating that our family came out of South Carolina in early 1800s. I looked for connections to the Marsh family and can find nothing there. I know that there were lots of Bishops living in and around Spartanburg at the time you mention. You might look into some of the old census records for Ann H. Bishop. Also there are some pretty good marriage records on the internet for that period of time. You might find Ann and William listed there. Good luck.
