I am trying to go back on Joshua Augusta Bishop who was born in Henderson, Jefferson Co., Texas 13 Nov 1859 and died 4 Mar 1901, Dallas, TX. His mother is Mary Ellen Yates, born in Kentucky, Jun 1832 and died in Texas, 1917. According to the Texas census from 1860 Mary Ellen was married to a T.W. Bishop. He was born in 1827 in VA and died before 1880. That is as far back as I can go. I need to know what T.W. stands for and I need his parents, siblings, etc. Also, it would be good to get the same info on Mary Ellen Yates. Her father may have been a T.M. Yates (?).
Joshua had brothers and sisters as follows: Robert L. married Lola ?, Mary Anna m Philip K. Baker, S.E. (?), Laura C. m Philip R. Gersdorf.
Joshua married Davidanna Fuqua 6 Dec 1882 in Dallas, TX. It was a double wedding with Davidanna's sister Willie who married John M. Clower.
