Larkin...I don't have much on my Bishop line, but I do know that my ggggrandfather, Nicholas Bishop, had a son named Henry who was probably born in South Carolina in the same general time frame you have given. Nicholas fought in the Revolution with his brother, Henry. They were the Battle of Hanging Rock where Henry, the brother, was killed there. This information came from Nicholas' pension application dated 1836.
Nicholas married Jane Dickson and had 7 kids: Sarah, Elizabeth, Henry, John, Nancy, Jane, and Dorcas. I know that Sarah and Elizabeth were born in South Carolina and assume that the others were born there also.
When Nicholas died in South Carolina in the mid 1800's, his estate was sold. His family bought his slaves. The names of those buying the slaves were H.N. Bishop, Dorcas Bishop, Jane Bishop, Robert Henderson, and, James Henderson. The two Henderson men were brothers who had married sisters, Sarah and Elizabeth Bishop. H.N. Bishop may be "your Henry".
You now have all I know about the Bishop family. Hope it is useful in your search. I have looked at the Gencircles that Frank suggested but I simply have not had time to follow up on it. Good luck!
