Hettie, Hub and Fred were all born in alabama. I am not sure what city, but they grew up in Phenix City, ALA./ which borders Columbus, GA. I did know my grandmother and did know hub. My grandmother was born in about 1886. We have never been able to find a marriage license for her and my grandfather Wm. Robert Blackwell, and my dad's /dad, grandmother and great-grandmother raised, him so I am sure there are some skeletons in that closet. You know you just don't think to ask questions as a child, and even sometimes as a young adult.
