Hi all, my name is Robert Bishop, and I used to be active in the forums here. Due to some health and employment issues, I have been inactive for quite awhile now, but am back in the hunt for information on my Bishop family line.
I am interested in any and all information on the descendants of Phillip Bishop, born 1793, died 1880. Lived in Green River and Cedar Mountain, NC. Married Margaret Myra Gooche (Anders), born 1795.
Also interested in any information on David Asbal (Asbury) Anders, born 1822 in Green River, NC. Raised by Phillip and Margaret Bishop, and married their daughter, Temperance Jane Bishop, born 1822.
I know that he was a Civil War veteran and a farmer.
