Am looking for Bishop family from which Edmund Honeycutt Bishop came. He was born in present day Mitchell County, NC, but that was Yancey back in the mid 1800s.
As a teen, Edmund worked for one A.P. Branch, before moving to Tennessee, marrying there, and staying in the Washington County area (Boone's Creek).
I have found one Edmund Bishop, much too old to be our Edmund's father, but is perhaps his grandfather.
Yancey Co. info, including births or marriages that might be this family would be much appreciated.
