Harry W. Bishop, 69, passed away on Wednesday, September
23, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport,
Sullivan Co TN.
Harry was born November 2, 1939; he graduated from
Sullivan High School and spent all of his adult life in
Kingsport. He attended Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kyle and Mary
Bishop.
Surviving are his wife, Jaynelle of the home; sisters,
Billie Jean Blanton and husband Carson, of Kingsport, TN,
and Nina Blackburn and husband Joe, of Maryville, TN;
brothers, Don Bishop and wife Abeleen, and Jim Bishop and
wife Arlene, both of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday,
September 24, 2009, at Oak Hill Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., in Oak
Hill Memorial Park with Reverend David Hambrick
officiating. Friends and family should be at the gravesite
by 10:45 a.m., on Friday, September 25, 2009.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to
Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church or St. Jude’s Children’s
Hospital.
The staff of Oak Hill is honored to serve the family of
Harry W. Bishop.
