Diana, unknown to me, at the time, is that Julius Kirk settled there with Sylvanus and family and I bought a farm about 10 miles away before knowing all the info I have found on my Kirks. I'm not sure of the connection between Julius and Sylvanus but I have a strong suspicion that Julius was married to one of the Blackburns. Julius is my Great Great Great Grandfather. I found information on the Benton County Genealogicla site of a historical account of the settlement, who came with Sylvanus and family and where they settled. One of the families settled 1/2 mile up river and Julius settled 1/2 mile down river. I am not sure but I think they came from Hickman Co. Tn. The old Mill is quite a historical site and played a very large part in building NW Arkansas.
