Regarding: Samuel Blackwell, born abt. 1780 residing in 1810 and 1820 in Person County, North Carolina. Person County Record Book 5, page 112 Court of May 1809 indicates that he is the husband of Nancy Bull, granddaughter of Moses Walker. (Person County Record Book 4, page 138 Court Date of Sept. 1806), I am presuming that Nancy Bull is the daughter of Jacob Bull and Elizabeth Walker, daughter of Moses Walker (Person County, NC). I would like to know Samuel Blackwell's parents, as well as the names of Samuel and Nancy's children. Though "names" are circumstantial, I am trying to locate the family of my ggg-grandfather: Moses Walker* Blackwell, b. 1814 North Carolina (*General Land Office Record dated 01/01/1840) who removed to Clinton County, IL before 1836, married Mary Stewart Floyd in Bond County, IL Aug. 1836. Moses' presumed brother, John "Pumphret"* Blackwell, b. 1808 North Carolina is also in Clinton County, Illinois. In 1860 Nancy Blackwell, age 76, born NC is living in Carlyle, Clinton County, IL with John P. Blackwell and his wife, Mary (Ashley) Blackwell. A Samuel Blackwell had also purchased Clinton County, llinois land during the same time period as Moses and John Blackwell. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, Marie Notify Administrator about this message?
