Rebecca Blackwell was born in about 1780 probably in North Carolina, probably Rutherford County. She is recorded as marring Jacob Dilbeck on 25 July 1799 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Jacob Dilbeck is found on the census returns from 1800 to 1820 in Rutherford Co., NC. On the 1830 and 1840 he is shown in Union Co. Kentucky. A land transaction dated 6 Oct 1837 in Spartanburg, SC states that David Blackwell of Buncombe Co., NC (Rebecca's brother) and Jacob Dilbeck of Wain Co., Kentucky both being heirs to James Blackwell sale some land. It is believed that Rebecca died in North Carolina in 1813 and Jacob Dilbeck died in Kentucky in or just after 1840.
