Hi. I'm not sure if I should be doing this. . Forgive me. I just randomly stumbled onto this site, and suddenly ran into someone who may be becoming my aunt . . . sort of. :)

My mom's maiden name is Sherilyn Ann Bloedel. She is the eldest daughter of Paul Bloedel and his first wife (named Helen, I think?), who died when mom was 15. She grew up in South Dakota, Coos Bay, Oregon, and I believe around Seattle. Anyway, she might also be the eldest sister of your boyfriend(fiance'?), Stephan. She was disowned by Paul years ago, so I never really met any of her brothers and sisters, much less anyone else in the family outside of a confusing, dismaying encounter with Paul when I was 11 years old and a visit to meet my great-grandmother, Minnie (Wilhelmina?) Brei in the nursing home when I was very young. My only other contact with the family was through one distant relation I'm not even sure if mentioning by name would be incrimating; however, it was a wonderful, kind-hearted person, who gave my mom an old photo albulm of all of the Brei family - that'd be Paul's first wife's family. . . Possibly relevant information for your tree, if your fiance', Stephan, is - like I believe - a son of Paul Bloedel's first marriage and he has 2 sisters, Jeannie (who is deaf), my mom, and a brother named Danny. If this is the case, I'd like to arrange a trade.
I'm not asking to meet the family; I don't think they really want to know me, and that's fine. I'm not out to change old grudges that I know nothing about. Meeting that half of my family was a dream I was simply never allowed to cherish. What I do want is to learn more of my family history beyond this 1 antique photo albulm, all of these amazing pictures from 100 years ago. I've leafed through it a thousand times and made up stories to go with, but the reality of who half of my anscestry is mostly alludes me. If you like and are able, and if your Stephan is who I believe he might be, I would like to trade what I know for what you know. Feel free to e-mail me.
