Thanks for the response. I am related to you through Eurith Cornelia Hastings, whose grandfather William Hastings came to the Shelby County area from Orange County, North Carolina around 1803.

William's line has been under-investigated -- it wasn't until a few years ago that I tracked him down in Kentucky. According to my records, your grandfather had three sisters and a brother. Do you have any idea where HIS grandparents (Charles Blumer and Eurith Hastings) are buried? The family seems to have been in Shelby County in the 19th century; a lot of them wound up moving to Louisville, probably for economic reasons.

I would be interested in anything you have on the Hastings side of the family, and I am also interested in filling in the family tree on recent generations.
