Greetings Bockoven researchers: Yes, the Whitenacks were sisters, daughters of Pleichard Weidknecht, son of Pleichard Dietrich Weidknecht of Adelshofen Germany. Pleichard Jr. AND Sr. were known mostly in their records as "Bliker" or "Blackert", names sounding similar to "Pleichard" when prounouced "Pli-kart". The anglicized version of it is Richard. Pleichard Sr. could not write, these names take numerous forms in his lifetime. I am looking for more Bockoven information for these two grandaughters of Pleichard Sr., as the Bockoven family bible mentions some of his information, suggesting his wife, Anna, may possibly be "Henn" as a surname. However, you may view the family information I have gathered on the Weidknechts (the original name of Whitenack and var.) at my website: http://basic.netmeg.net/cwhitnah/greeting.htm Scroll down to a link near the bottom for Pliechard. This will begin with the "Sr."s information. I do not have much about his families, as the early records were destroyed in a church fire and his family does not again appear in records until his daugter Mary's birth in 1740. Please respond with any Bockoven information you can contribute to Mary and Elizabeth's husbands? Cheers Cheryl L. Higgins cwhitnah@netmeg.net
