Looking for the origin of the surname Odo, Someone suggested Bodo may have been the correct spelling. My GGGG Grandfather was Marcel Odo, born possibly in Quecbec to Madeleine Deveau, and an unknown man possibly Native? Madeleine was from Cheticamp Nova Scotia. Went to Quebec ,had a child, no marriage. Marcel was suppoedly baptised in a church in Quebec under the name of Odo. Do you know if this surname is correct or has it been misspelled through the years?
