I'm hoping your still with this website. I've been checking records and I've found a William A. Booker b. 1847 in Alabama, son of a G.L. Booker b. 1810 in Kentucky, and Elizabeth Booker b. 1812 from Tennesse. All are linked to Cherokee county, AL. I think we're looking at the same people! William would be my great, great grandfather.
I found he, William, was married to Mary Ann King from Georgia- that's all I have on her side for now.
From what I found out: one son, George W. Booker, eventually made it to Ellis County, Texas, Waxahachie to be exact.
I also heard the family is linked to the Cherokee. I remember my great uncles and aunts saying her name was Crow. Any documentation about her was lost in a flood.
I hope this helps in any way, please post if you have found anything else in the past year.
