He was the son of Vinson Jones and Elizabeth Cope who moved on to settle on a fork of the Little River in what is now Ashe/Allegany counties N.C. My search has been for a connection between my Joneses there and those in the adjacent Grayson County, Virginia. To find that connection may be the key to finding the parents of Vinson Jones born in VA in 1746 in what was most likely then Brunswick County. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
