I am researching the Brainard family in Lake and Ashtabula counties of Ohio. I have found a Chester G. Brainard, brother of Lorinda Brainard (my great grandfather's sister in law). In Ancestry .com I found a pedigree chart for Chester G. Brainard (1886-1969)with his father being listed as Chester Brainard born in 1859 in Ashtabula. I recently received a death record on Chester G. Brainard. His son, Stuart was the informant who listed Chester's father as a George Brainard. On Lorinda and Peter Harris' marriage record, she listed Chester as her father. I do not have a death record for Lorinda. Help! This is very confusing.
