Found record of Henry HOLMES marr. Sarah Marie Brainerd 12/26/1853 in St. Louis MO
I find them next in Galveston, TX---went down the river to Gulf and over to Galveston???

notice that the places of birth change on some. Henry has remarried and child Donsena is gone..
perhaps Mary and child died.

mother: Mary BRAINERD
Could this be Henry and first wife Mary?
The use of the name Dyer is used again by Frank Henry HOLMES who named a son Frank Dyer Holmes.
Also, some land records in Chambers Co TX-- next to Harris and Galveston --has a D R Brainard nearby land owned by Holmes line...so...just wondering if anyone knows of this line??
