I believe Daniel Brainard of Connecticut is the progenitor of the Brainard's in America.
Martha Florence Brainard in my family lived in Hanging Rock, Ohio. She was the daughter of John Spark Brainard and Sarah Steice Brainard. John son of David Brainard, David son of (another David),Capt. David Brainard. Capt. David son of Hezekiah, Another Hezekiah son of Daniel Brainard.
