I am searching for information on G.W. Brainard and his wife. I would like to verify G.w. Brainard and George W. Brainard are the same person, and want to know the given name of his wife. The data I have so far goes a long way to confirm they are one and the same, but I would like definite confirmation. This is the data I have: G. W. Brainard was born in NY about 1840-1850 or so and died in Salt Lake City 13-Dec-1901. His body was shipped back to Butte, MT. The name Jessie Flanigan was mentioned, so this means the Brainard daughters living with Isaac T. and Laura [Barton] Boyden in 1900 were related to him. The girls were listed a niece's of Isaac's. G.W. Brainard married a daughter of William Boyden per her obit. At this point, I can only find one possible daughter of William Boyden and that was Sarah Boyden, who was age 6 at the time of the 1860 IN census. Per the marriage certificate, G.W. married Cillistine/Stella Boyden in Chicago, IL. Her obit in the 1-Mar-1894 - Elwood Daily Press states: Mrs. Geo. W. Brainard died at the home of her brother, I.T. Boyden at 39 years. She was the daughter of W.W. Boyden. Her home is in MT, but has been in Indiana since last May. She was interred on 2-Mar-1894. William and Catherine [Wilson] Boyden had eight children, only two of whom were living at date of his death on 09-May-1894 -- David and Isaac. I've only found the names of seven of their children: David, John, Emely, Isaac, Sarah and Nora. The only other child William had was with his second wife, Cynthia Shipley. She was Cora, who never married. Nora and Emely/Emily died in their 20's. The four Brainard daughters who were living with Isaac T. Boyden and his second wife Laura in 1900: - Pearl Amy Brainard (1885-1960, b. Curtisville, IN) married Walter Rider (IA) - Jessie May Brainard (1881-?, b. Gunnison, CO) married William Flanigan (Canada) - Ethel Celestia Brainard (1887-?, b. Butte, Silver Bow, MT) married Ray Bothwell - Zellah/Zillah/Drewzellah Boyden Brainard (1893-?, b. Anaconda, Deer Lodge Co., MT) married (1) Bennie T. Englerth (IN) and (2) ? Bickle (IN). Any information would be appreciated. Thank you. Notify Administrator about this message?
