Hesper is the daughter of William Brainard, born 1845 in PA and Dora Margaret Watson, born 1860 in Mo. William's father was born in OH, mother in PA. Dora's father was born in IL, mother in IN. Hesper has 2 sisters that I know about Zola (my great grandmother) and Nova. I have found a census record that the first born was a son named Guy W. My mother never heard of him so I am guessing he died very young. She said she never met Hesper but would hear stories. She said she married a Lutheran man by the name of Jacobsen, but she thought his name was Herald. I am sure this is your Hesper.
