Sidney J. Brainard
Sidney J. Brainard, 73, Prattsville [NY], died March 1 at the Kingston City hospital, Kingston [NY]. He was born May 11, 1911 in East Windham [NY], the son of John and Florence Ruland Brainard.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4 at the Decker Funeral Home, Inc., Prattsville with the Rev. David Vos, pastor of the Reformed church, Prattsville, officiating. Interment was at the Windham cemetery, Windham [NY].
Mr. Brainard was a member of the Prattsville fire department. He owned and operated the Sidney Brainard Construction Co. until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, the former Henrietta Rosecrans; two sons: Jerold Brainard of Kingston and Elliott Brainard of Prattsville and seven grandchildren.
