Frank J. Brainerd of Algonquin Funeral services for Frank J. Brainerd, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Born Dec. 6, 1925, in Bruce, Wis., he passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at Lexington Nursing Home in Lake Zurich. Mr. Brainerd owned and operated Barrington Heating and Cooling for over 30 years. He served as a Marine in World War II and attended the Village Church of Barrington. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (nee Nelson), whom he married Aug. 22, 1948, in Bruce; children, Dianne (Russ) Novak of Kalispell, Mont., Ken (Linda) of Mexico Beach, Fla., Charlene (Greg) Cole of Cary and Vicki (Mike) Mangioni of Island Lake; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Brainerd's name may be made to the Village Church of Barrington, 1600 E. Main St., Barrington, IL 60010 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076. For information, 847-381-3411.
