The George Brannon we have been searching for would have been born in the 1700's as it is speculated that he came from Ireland, and there are several sons known -- my direct ancestor Larkin was born in 1800 and died in 1895. All we have on George is that he may have married a Cherokee woman and was a gold miner in the Unicoi Mtns, and that he supposedly received a land grant for his service in the Revolutionary War. No proof has been found on the land grant.
