I'm searching fro info to break my stone wall. My earliest Bendel in my GGGrandfather, John (Johann) Brendel. According to his 1898 obit in Mascoutah, IL newspaper, he was born in 1826 in Johannisberg, Altbayern, Germany. He married Anna Blank in Mascoutah, and she was also from Johannisberg. They emigrated at different times and just be luck rediscovered each other in Mascoutah. I suspect he had one or more brothers in the Mascoutah are, but no proof. Help!
