Our family was spelled Brendle or Brendel or Brendli back in Pennsylvania. Two of the Hildebrands moved to Missouri with one of our family members, which today is spelled Brinley. The Hildebrands lived next door to Jacob Brendel (1721-1785) (and many other spellings back then)
