My Great Grandfather was William Taylor Brendle, Great,Great Grandfather was Rev. Calvin Brendle. Wm. would tell me when I was a kid that we came from Holand also. I know that they moved to Clay County from Swain or Jackson Co. I have a Rec. from Franklin dated April 14 1888 to John H. Brendle from N. Elias for 25.00 full payment for a yoke of steers; and a Mortgage Deed from a W.T. Brendle dated Oct. 24 1896. Any help? I am stuck at Calvin Brendle. I cant find him on any census records.
