Hi Bonnie,
I wish I knew!!! I so suspect, that possibly. On my grandmother's dc (NYC 1920) is listed her mother's name as BRENDEL. I've searched and am presently looking at the possibility. Her maiden name was Seidel and I have found the two names in reference to a book called "The Bori Story". Have looked into getting the book through interlibrary loan, but the copies they found don't circulate. I hate to pay the money to buy the book on such slim evidence. I would be inclined to buy it if I thought it pertained.
Check out "Bori" on the web. Let me know if you find anything interesting.
       Mary Lou
