My mother's maiden name was Brereton, and she comes from Tullamore. The story I have from her is that an ancestor (I thought only a couple of generations before) came over from England. She was born in 1922. Her mother's maiden name was Haines. She moved to England in 1943, married my father, Eric Crabbe, who died last year. I am now living in Massachusetts. I would love to learn a little more about Mum's ancestry (and so would she), and thanks for the fascinating glimpse.
