Brinsley Family Genealogy Forum

Sorry it has taken me so long to find your reply. All I know is my great grandmothers maiden name was Brinsley, came from Ireland 1890-1900. She did apparently tell my grandmother that to look under MacSeamark (spelling probably wrong). At the time my grandmother was 90 and was repeating what her mother (rank irish my own mother said) told her. So the name could be anything. I have my g.grandmothers marriage cert. Surname definately BRINSLEY - father David Brinsley (accoutrement maker) - must have been alive at time of her marriage or would have said deceased on her marriage cert. I am having terrible trouble. According to Family records centre in London the surname Brinsley is related to: LINDLEY, CHAMBERLAIN, SHERIDAN and another I cannot recall. The society of genealogists in London has a cross reference to Penniston. I will keep you posted via this wonderful forum page.
