I am new to this, looking for information on my Great, great grandfather Charles Britton, born 1866.
My Great Grandfather was his son, Louis William Britton (born October 1, 1896) who married Bethia Mary Shields on July 30th, 1924.
According to their marriage certificate, his parents were Charles Britton, born in Halifax and Elizabeth Fitzgerald.
I found census records which list Charles and Elizabeth as "Briton" with Louis spelled as "Lewis", but I believe this is them as their birthdates match. According to that census, their other children are Nora (b. 1898) and Fitzgerald (b.1900) I am looking primarily for names and places of his parents, and the date of his death
I have found info on Charles Brittons that don't match up, and I am getting very confused.
I have been able to locate information on the Fitzgeralds and the Shields, but am stuck on Charles.
If there is anyone who may be able to help, that would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
